How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Click "Manage subscription" in the site footer (or use the link in the sidebar of this page). You'll be sent a one-time magic link by email. No password needed. From there you can cancel anytime. There are no cancellation fees and you'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.

What's your refund policy?

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on Linesmith Pro. If it's not for you, contact us through the form above within 7 days of your purchase or request a refund through our payment processor, and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. Refunds usually appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.

I lost my license key. How do I get it back?

Two options. First, search your email for "Linesmith". Your license key was sent in the receipt email from our payment processor. Second, you can visit the customer portal (linked in the footer), enter the email you used to purchase, and you'll be sent a magic link to view all your purchases and keys. Still stuck? Send us a message and we'll look it up for you.

Can I use Pro on multiple devices?

Yes. Your license key works on as many devices as you'd like: your laptop, desktop, work computer, your spouse's iPad. Just paste the same key on each device. No device limit, no extra cost.

Does Linesmith work on mobile?

The website works on mobile browsers, though the editor is best on a real keyboard. Many users draft on desktop and then copy the formatted text to LinkedIn's mobile app. The Unicode formatting renders identically across all platforms.

Is the formatting safe to use? Will LinkedIn ban my account?

Yes, completely safe. Linesmith uses standard Unicode characters (the same kind your keyboard already produces for emoji and accented letters), not automation, not browser scripts, not anything that touches LinkedIn's systems. There's no scraping, no auto-posting, no API calls to LinkedIn. You write text, copy it, paste it into LinkedIn yourself. Tens of thousands of LinkedIn creators use Unicode formatting daily without issue.

Do you have a Chrome extension?

Not yet, but it's on our roadmap. For now, the website works just as well: keep it open in a tab and switch between Linesmith and LinkedIn as you write. If a Chrome extension is something you'd find useful, let us know via the contact form. It helps us prioritize.

Do you store any of my data?

Linesmith is designed to be privacy-respecting by default. We don't want your data, and we've built the tool so we never have to collect it.

What we don't collect: Your drafts, your snippets, your formatted text, your activity in the editor, analytics about how you use the tool. All of that lives in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.

What we do collect: If you fill out the contact form, we receive your name, email, and message. If you purchase Pro, our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) collects your billing information. We don't see or store your card details. We retain purchase records for tax and refund purposes.

Cookies: We don't use tracking cookies. We don't run analytics scripts. We don't share data with advertisers. Your browser stores your license key and tool settings locally, but those never leave your device.

Your rights: Since we don't collect personal data beyond what you explicitly send us, there's not much to delete, but if you've contacted us or purchased Pro and want your records removed, send us a message via the contact form above and we'll take care of it.
